Soft System Methodology

Described as an approach to break down complex, organizational problems by letting those who are involved in the organization to: 1) define what the problems are, and 2) formulate the changes that need to be done in order to solve the problems. Group exploration, group discussion, and in-depth interviews are some of the methods that we use to carry this approach; while adhering to the ‘7-stage description’ and ‘CATWOE (Customers, Actors, Transformation Processes, Worldview, Owners, and Environmental Constraints) analysis’. We can utilize this approach to assess the feasibility of a program, to deal with persistent organizational problems, or as an initial step in corporate’s restructuring plan.
